Halloween, pumpkins and costumes...oh my

It's my favorite time of year. The time when black cats are sought out and not shooed away. Its time for a little Halloween update and I got some pictures to share as well. First off, for my sister Allison's first Halloween, other than a showing of "Its The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown", she gets to start the tradition of costumes. We had a few to choose from this year so first I will show the runners up, then the winner

3rd Place

We liked the idea of a cute elephant costume, maybe some pictures with her and some peanuts.
But this outfit was just too big. So on to the next one.

2nd Place

If you can't tell from this picture, this is working on Eddie's love for all that is Star Wars. How could he not dress his daughter as Princess Leia? And while it was kind of big as well it was also kind of cheap up close.

The WINNER

Well we went with a Princess costume, but less sci-fi and more Disney. This one fit really well and as you can see, she really liked it.

After picking out her costume, Eddie and Chrissy took her to the pumpkin farm for her first time. It was also their first time. Since she couldn't enjoy lots of the stuff the farm had to offer, they kept it simple this year. A little of the corn maze, some pumpkin patch exploration and a few pictures.

The next post should be from Halloween night. Maybe I will get in on a picture or two. After all it is my holiday. Also we should know the outcome of the Gerber contest by then. Stay tuned!

Wow...9 months already

I cant believe its been 9 months already. My little sister Allison is doing really well. Before I update you I thought you would want to see how she has grown...

As you can see she is still growing. She is up to 13 lbs 4 oz. She is still small but she is tracking the growth chart perfectly so the doctors are really happy with that. Eddie and Chrissy still take her to see her pediatrician, endocrinologist,  and pediatric gastroenterologist but they all think she is doing great. Now its just the typical baby issues that Eddie and Chrissy (as new parents) stress about. Runny nose, coughing, not eating as much as they think she should. She does sleep pretty well at night though. Goes to sleep around 7, they wake her at 1030 for a night feed and she goes back to sleep until about 630 the next morning.

But things have gotten kind of routine around here. Chrissys mom stays with us Sunday nights to watch Allison on Mondays. She goes to her nanny's house on Tue, Wed and Thur. Then Eddie's mom comes over to watch her on Fridays. Allison has only been to one other Husky game since the first one and spent the others and Eddie's parents. Last time her cousins Ashley and Ella were there and we got some pics...

And if you were wondering about the Gerber contest, we wont find out about that until November 1st...but keep your fingers crossed. :)
